Edwin Wind

WIND - Mr. Edwin Wind, age 93, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017. Ed was born August 22, 1923 in Grand Rapids to Han and Dora (Wiersma) Wind. He served faithfully with the United States Army during WWII. Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Margaret, and his brother, Harold Wind.

He will be deeply missed by his children Cynthia (Richard) Heller, and Bruce (Jan) Wind; grandchildren Erick Heller, David Heller, Nicholas Heller, Jenna (John) Borgia, and Curtis (Jaime) Wind; great-grandchildren Quinten Heller, and Jasper Geary; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Fair Haven Church, 2900 Baldwin St., Hudsonville with Rev. Harvey Heneveld officiating. Entombment will be at Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Holland. Relatives and friends may meet Ed’s family Thursday one hour prior to visitation at church.
