Effie Katerberg

Effie Katerberg, age 94, entered into Glory, peacefully on Friday, February 26, 2010. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Amy Beth Katerberg and her siblings, her infant brother Peter, also Peter and Enno Wolthuis, Anne Kramer.

Effie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 71 years, Ralph Katerberg; her children, Arlene Katerberg, Loren Marsha Katerberg, Ralph Beth Katerberg, Sharon John Winkel; her precious grandchildren and great grandchildren; her siblings, Beulah Sid Lenger, Ralph Shirley Wolthuis; her siblings-in-law, Henry Leone Katerberg, Ev Jean Katerberg, Alyce Finch and Lucille Wolthuis; her numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends.

A time for relatives and friends to visit with Effie's family will be held from 5 to 8 PM Sunday at the Sunset Manor Chapel, 725 Baldwin St. in Jenison, door F. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday at Hope Christian Reformed Church, 3110 Barrett St. in Grandville, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Dale Fopma and Rev. Jim Molenbeek will be officiating. Interment will be at Grandville Cemetery. In honor of Effie, contributions may be made to the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee – CRWRC.
