Eleanor Taylor

TAYLOR (WARNERS), ELEANOR Eleanor Taylor, of Jenison, born on May 11, 1915 to John and Hattie Warners, passed from this life into her eternal home to live forever with her savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday August 11, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Taylor; her daughter, Sandra Brower; son-in-law, Alvern Brower; parents and four siblings; and two great grandchildren (Tyler Vermeer and McClaren Brower). Those left behind who will be greatly missing her are Keith and Jackie Taylor and their family; Curtis and Sheryl Taylor (Ian, Willem, Mia), Steve and Rachael Taylor (Leah, Levi, Jade); Yvonne and Paul Bodnar and their family: Lynda and Rob Schab (Zach and Lyndsey), Jeff Vermeer and Sarah Decorah (Michelle, Andy, Wyatt Wiest, Ben, Stacie, Cameron Beaudo), Matt and Kristi Vermeer (Hayleigh, Madissen, Chloe, Ethan), Janet and Tobin Bannister (Lauren, Kate), Lindsey and Aesa Lesicki (Andrew); Sandra and Alvern's children: Greg and Carol Brower (Preston), Cmdr. Rodney and Pattie Brower (Braden and son Micah, Taylor, Cameron, Elijah), Eric Brower, Tom and Mechele Brower (Cody, Josh, Jolie).

Eleanor was a wonderful mother and godly example to her family. In her younger years, she worked for Zondervan Publishing Company, and when her children were in school she began a career with the Baker Book House from where she retired after her 70th birthday. Eleanor loved stamp collecting, coin collecting and her flowers.

The funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday, August 14th at the Cook Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will meet with relatives and friends on Monday from 5 - 8 pm at the Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville.
