Ethel Beukema

BEUKEMA-Ethel Beukema, aged 98, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman, son-in-law, Ronald Vugteveen, grandsons, Michael Packer and Timothy Vugteveen.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters, June (Jim) Packer of Allendale and Mary (Robert) Lubben of Grandville; grandchildren, Sue (Chuck) Ellis, Eric (Mary) Packer, Mark (Dianna) Vugteveen, Kurt (Melanie) Vugteveen, Chad (Kara) Vugteveen, and Jon Vugteveen; 11 great-grandchildren, and extended Lubben family. Ethel was a warm, loving, sweet and giving person. She was a longtime member of First Reformed Church of Grandville. She enjoyed knitting, reading, and spending time with her family. She will be lovingly remembered by all who were blessed to have known her.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Walden Woods and Faith Hospice for their loving care and support. Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday with Rev. Rich Baukema officiating at the Cook Memorial Chapel (east building) 4235 Prairie St. SW. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday 6 pm to 8 pm at the Cook Funeral Home, Grandville (west building) and one hour prior to services on Saturday.
