

Evelyn Kay Scoville, age 85 of Grandville, went to Heaven September 1, 2025, to be reunited with her beloved husband, James Reynolds Scoville. Born September 9, 1939, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Kay lived a life filled with faith, love, and devotion to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Mardelle, and MaryLois (Tom Slattery); and her husband, James. Kay is survived by her loving children: daughter, Julie (Dan Webb); sons Jim (Keri) and Dan (Bridget). Her cherished grandchildren were the light of her life: Matt and Lisa Webb, Rachael and Mitch Kneibel, Tyler and Amanda Webb, as well as two great-grandbabies on the way. She will also be lovingly remembered by grandchildren Alyssa and Chris Corder, Grace Scoville, Olivia Scoville and fiancé, Jacob Yerkes, and Zoe Scoville; as well as many extended family members, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Kay’s deep faith guided her every step, offering strength and inspiring those around her with her kindness and grace. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Visitation with family and friends will take place from 6-8 p.m. Monday, September 8, 2025 at Cook Memorial Chapel, 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. A celebration of life will be held on Evelyn’s birthday, Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Cook Memorial Chapel. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with service following at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital or the American Cancer Society, reflecting Kay’s compassionate spirit.
