
Florence was a teacher and partner in the Allegan Tru-Value Hardware Store for many years. Mrs. Newell was very active with her family, church, friends, and loved gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold; two brothers, William and Orvin Miller; one sister Lillian Fleser.
Florence is survived by one son, James Pat Newell of Byron Center; grandchildren, Kenneth Mimi Newell of Atlanta, GA, Robert Ann Newell of Grand Rapids, Karen John Frame of CA, Beth Kevin Clark of Stevensville; four great grandsons and a soon to be expected great granddaughter. Also surviving are one brother Alvin L. Alma Miller of Wyoming; one sister-in-law Alice Miller; several cousins; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. from the Burnips Wesleyan Church with Pastor Chad J. McCallum officiating. Interment Salem Township Cemetery.
The family will meet with relatives and friends Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. from the Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St. SW in Byron Center.
