Gary Allen Osterink

Osterink, Gary Allen, age 73, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 11, 2025. Gary was born September 19, 1951 to Donald and Sarah Osterink. He graduated from Grandville High School in 1970. On September 21, 1973 he married the love of his life, Barbara (Beerens). He spent his career as a tool engineer in the automotive industry. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, and gardening for many years. More recently, his real joy came from spending time with his grandchildren. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kevin Michael; brother, Donald; and sister, Sharon Richmond. He will be dearly missed and remembered by his wife of 51 years, Barbara; children Ryan (Heather) Osterink, Kyle (Beth) Osterink, Kelly Osterink; grandchildren Hannah, Ben, Rylee, and Luke; brother, Brian (Marilee) Osterink; sister, Nancy (Craig) Doornbos; sister-in-law, Marcia Osterink; brother-in-law, Bill Richmond; many in-laws, nieces, nephews, special friends, and neighbors.

Visitation with relatives and friends will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Cook Funeral Home (West Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. A celebration of Gary’s life will commence 11 a.m. Monday, February 17, with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. Zion Reformed Church, 4457 36th St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. Rev. Marcia Pratt will be officiating. In honor of Gary and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Threads Clothing Ministry at Zion Reformed Church.
