
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Lena Hallas; and stepson Ronald Peck.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy; his daughters, Mary Jerry Brandow, Bonnie Hallas; step-children, Sue Eric Brown of Washington, Jim Robin Peck of Washington, PamHoward Burgert, Kim Peck; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard Gail Hallas, Ernest II Sarah Hallas; several nieces and nephews; and very special pets, Candi and Gabe.
George retired from Kelvinator after 43 years. He loved gardening and flowers, sports of all kinds and was an avid fisherman.
The funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cook Memorial Chapel 4235 Prairie St. SW - east building.
The family will meet with relatives and friends 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Cook Funeral Home -west building.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
