
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jean and his brother Danny.
He is survived by his children, Mary Barry Shannon, Marcia David Coates, Roger Karen Hess; grandchildren, Shawn Tracy, Dusti Jonathan, Todd, Tonya, Jake and Kara; sisters, Donna Bill Lukaart, Waneta Donald Meyers; sister-in-law Geraldine Hess; and many nieces and nephews.
Gerald served our country during WWII in the 12th Army Infantry. He served the Wyoming community as Captain of the Wyoming Volunteer Fire Department, Station #4 for 35 years.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December17 from the Cook Memorial Chapel east building 4235 Prairie St. SW, with Rev. Bill Johnson officiating.
The family will meet with relatives and friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday at the Cook Funeral Home west building in Grandville.
