Geraldine Sundstrom

SUNDSTROM (MAZZOLA) Geraldine Sundstrom, age 75, went home to be with her Lord, Friday, April 13, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Angelo & Filimina Mazzola and her sister, Rose (Ralph) Wals. Geraldine will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Frank Sundstrom; her children, Greg (Audrey) Sundstrom, Tamara (Brian) Casey, Kathleen (Kevin) Kelly, Paul (Dee) Sundstrom; her grandchildren, Courtney and Ben Sundstrom, Brendan and Matt Kelly, Nick, Andrew and Jackie Sundstrom; her siblings, Mary (Sam) Marchione, Susan (Hank) Alvarez, Ciro (Sandy) Mazzola, Grace (Hector) Trevino; and many nieces and nephews.

Geraldine loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She and Frank spent much of their marriage traveling all over the world. She also enjoyed walking and reading. Geraldine was very involved at church; participating in choir, the food pantry and many church activities.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 PM Monday with a vigil service at 8:30 PM at Cook Funeral Home in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 1 PM at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson Ave. SW. Interment will be at Georgetown Cemetery. In honor of Geraldine, contributions may be made to Gilda's Club.
