Geraldine Joy Thompson

A beloved wife, mother and grandmother; she is survived by her husband of sixty years, George Sr.; her children, David and Cynthia Root, Geraldine "Gerry" Meyer, and George Jr. and Robin Thompson; her grandchildren, Edwin Root and fiancée Laura Fry, Joseph and Katie Root, George "Jake" Thompson III and Jason Meyer; her sister Joan Zimkowski and sisters-in-law, June Hinken, Arlene Hinken, and Madelyn Dodd; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Friends may meet with the family from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Cook Funeral Home in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW west building. The funeral celebrating her life will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Cook Memorial Chapel east building.

In honor of Geraldine, contributions may be made to Tri-Unity Christian School.
