
He was preceded in death by his first wife Katherine Visser; grandson Russell DeWitt; and brother Marvin Visser.
He is survived by his wife Mae nee Scholma DeWitt; children, Carol Bruce Frede, James Connie Visser, Bill Visser, Joy Nick DeHaan, Lee Laura DeWitt, Marlys Dan Popma, Sue Steve Kass; 17 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brothers, Elmer Henriette Visser and Milton Dorothy Visser; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jay Bertha Brink, Gertrude Kuiper, Gertrude Brink, Margaret Mel Kronemeyer, John Scholma, Gerald Gert Scholma, Robert Gesena Scholma, Ruth Rog Wierenga, Harold Ruth Scholma.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, September 23 from the Hillcrest Christian Reformed Church, 3617 Hillcrest Rd. in Hudsonville, with Rev. Howard Vanderwell officiating.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m at the Cook Funeral Home west building 4235 Prairie St. SW in Grandville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Bible Institute, Sunset Association or Brookcrest Manor.
