Gertrude Sytsma

SYTSMA - Gertrude Sytsma, age 91, our loving mother, grandmother and "Grandma Great" went to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, July 14, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Sytsma and her great grandson, Benjamin Boomsma. Gertrude will be lovingly remembered by her children, Joyce Ken Ball, Jim Ruth Sytsma, Jeri Howard Veldhouse, Ron Arlene Sytsma, Jill Pete Harkema, Jack Jan Sytsma; her 19 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 – 84th St. SW. Private interment service will be at Winchester Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. Monday at Byron Center First Christian Reformed Church, 2450 – 85th St. SW. Rev. Tom Groelsema will be officiating.
