Grace will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 65 years, Donald M. TerBeek; her children, Barbara (Nick) VanderVeen, Donna (Jonathan) Stellema, Douglas (Rachel) TerBeek, Sally (Michael) Polavin, Ruth (John) Scott, David (Renee) TerBeek; her 29 grandchildren, and 58 great-grandchildren. For the last number of years Grace lived under the cloud of dementia, but prior to that she was an intercessor who met with a group of ladies to pray every week for 25 years. Grace had the gift of hospitality, boarding missionaries in her home; she was a gracious hostess and a wonderful cook. Most of all, Grace served as a loving wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, April 1, at Cook Funeral Home in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW (west building). Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, with visitation prior to the service beginning at 1 PM at Cook Memorial Chapel (east building). Interment will be at Grandville Cemetery. In honor of Grace, contributions may be made to Baruch Ministries at Cambridge Manor, Spectrum Hospice or Grand Rapids First - Rich & Wanda Ferguson - missionaries to Peru. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guestbook online at www.cookcares.com.
