She is survived by her husband, Ryan Titmus; children Alex Timmerman, Kaydance, Dakota, and Andrew Titmus; father, Greg Hood; brother, Brandon and Rachel Hood (Miles); mother-in-law, Mary Gregge; brother and sister-in-law, Reggie (Amanda) Titmus; and many uncles, aunts, and friends at the Kent County Sheriff’s Department and Saint Mary’s Hospital.
Heather was a valued member of the Kent County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Center where she dedicated herself to serving others with compassion and professionalism. In 2023, Heather was diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer, a battle she fought with extraordinary strength and courage. Despite enduring numerous surgeries and treatments, she remained hopeful to return to the job she loved. More than a dispatcher, Heather was a devoted wife, a loving mother to four wonderful children, and a cherished friend to many. Her infectious smile could light up a room, and her unwavering commitment to helping others was truly inspiring. Her presence will be missed, but the impact she made on her family and community and in our hearts will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresgrandville.com in their guestbook online.
