I was Jack's wrestling coach while at Northern Montana College; Jack was a great competitor and a fine person. He made many friends in the short time he was here. He made many trips back to Montana and Idaho to keep in touch with the many acquaintances he made. I'm sorry to hear of your loss.

Jack, I'll never forget the first time I met you, Me and Nick were traveling across the country to watch Cody wrestle and I almost killed us by getting scared of a HUGE jackrabbit in the road, when we got to Minnesota you decided it would be hilarious if you tied a cute little bunny to the hood of my car, that bunny stayed on for over a year and half! I hope you know you were like my father away from home, i will miss you and cant wait till the day we can drink stella together again!

Jack, You were a TRUE friend and person. Jack.. you made our transition to Grandville so much easier. You were so supportive and helpful. You were an awesome father, coach, and friend. We will always remember our times together...whether it was a road trip to Marquette, Pennsylvania, white water rafting, or our awesome time at North Carolina State. We laughed so much! Dear Nicholson Family,
 Jack has left this mortal probation and I felt impressed to share with your family that his spirit will be missed by the many of us that had barely a breif glimpse of his tremendous spirit. I remember coming home on leave occasionally from my military duties and visiting Kevin Whitcomb, who always kept me abreast as to how everyone was doing. Without fail he would bring me up to date on Jack. I will never forget his smile and compassion for his fellowman. Although I did not know him as well as others I truly felt of this son of the Most Highs loving and charitable spirit. I know that he is doing well and his spirit still lives and will for the rest of our earthly lives. I had a wonderful time just recalling his sparkle at this very moment and I want to thank you for sharing him with us.

The Coaching Staff and Wrestlers at Rockford High School extends condolences to the Family and Friends of Jack Nicholson. Jack has been a long time friend of the wrestling community and will always be remembered as a "class act". I can remember watching him wrestle for Grandville H. S., impressed by the talent of this young man. I was reminded of it again when I saw Cody wrestle many years later. Jack will be missed in many circles. Last time Jack and I talked was at Gramma Greig's funeral. We shared stories about hunting. He also told funny stories about sharing his name of a famous actor and having fun with uknowing callers. So sorry to hear of Jack's death. We became good friends while we both finished out our wrestling careers at Northern Montana College. He was the one who got me started bowhunting on a elk hunting trip to the Missouri River Breaks. He would give the shirt off his back to help a friend.He was genuine with a heart of gold.
