James E. Pappas

He is survived by his wife Therese; his daughters, Kathy Fred VanderWall of Jenison, Cheryl Rich Golladay of Kentwood, Mary John Carrier of Jenison, Terri Pappas of Chicago; his son Jim Pappas III of New York; and his seven grandchildren, Aaron and Chad VanderWall, Ashlee and Rick Golladay, and Mitchell, Alex and Eric Carrier. He is also survived by his aunts, Belvis Ligus and Cecilia Giambra; and many cousins.

The funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. from St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 1213 52nd St. SE, with Fr. Lou Anderson officiating.

Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.

The family will meet with relatives and friends on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home west building 4235 Prairie St. SW, in Grandville, with a prayer vigil at 8:30 p.m.

The family has requested that donations, in lieu of flowers, be made to the 'WE DO CARE FUND' which benefits the pediatric hematology and oncology clinic at the DeVos Children's Hospital. Please make checks payable to 'WE DO CARE FUND' and mail to 8602 Rivercrest, Jenison, MI 49428.
