He was preceded in death by his parents Chester and Winnie Beukema; sisters Mary Hansma and Barbara Olsen; and brother, Donald Beukema.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Mae Beukema; step-daughters Starr (Larry) Garter, Toni (Jim) Unger, and Melody (Denny) Olin; granddaughters Amanda and Samantha; great-granddaughter, Lidia; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jimmie proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Visitation will be from 10 - 10:45 a.m. on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Woodview Christian Church, 3785 Woodview, S.W., Wyoming, MI 49509, with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. Rev. Jon Stradtner will officiate.
In honor of Jimmie and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice.
