Joanne E. Hoekstra

She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Hoekstra; grandson, Jose Petroelje; great-grandson, Kaleb Cooper; father, Edwin (Eva) Dalroot; mother, Helen (Albert) Schmidt; in-laws, Theodore (Jennie) Hoekstra; brothers-in-law Jim Hoekstra, Ken Behrendt and Jack Kamp; sister-in-law, Kathryn Kamp; and niece, Terri Molenkamp.

She will be lovingly missed by her children Sherry (Paul) Petroelje, Sandy (Scott) Wellman and Dawn (Mark) Warren; grandchildren Vern (Kat), Melissa, Jimmy, Blake (Amy), Alicia, Zack, Maghen, Kyle, and Colton; brother, Gary Schmidt; sister, Sharon (Jim) Atkinson; sisters-in-law Mary Hoekstra, Lauretta (Ben) Cooper, Flo Behrendt, and Ruth (Rollie) Molenkamp; brother-in-law, George Hoekstra; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Howard Nyenhuis.

A Celebration of Life visitation with the family will be held from 2 - 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie, S.W., Grandville, MI 49418. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

The family would especially like to thank the staff at the American House of Jenison/Cottonwood for all their loving care.
