John Vanden Berg

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marjorie; his children, Don Nancy Jack Sharon Bob Cheryl and Jim Nancy; his grandchildren, David Vanden Berg and fiancAC.e Pam, Peter Heidi Vanden Berg, Doug Vanden Berg and fiancAC.e Rachel, Kristy Vanden Berg, Karen Rod Korhorn, Janna Jason Slot, Steve Vanden Berg and friend Jennie, Julie Vanden Berg, Jimmy Vanden Berg and friend Stacey, and John Vanden Berg; great grandchildren, Rachel Korhorn and Ethan Slot; brothers and sisters, Jacob “Bud” Dykwell, Henry Barlow, Rich Leah Barlow, Lila Bob Zuidersma, Betty Stanton, Pat Bob VerSluis; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jay Betty Buist, Joyce John Seif and Jack Marge Buist; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 9 from the Heritage Christian Reformed Church, with Rev. John Gorter officiating.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St SW in Byron Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland Home or a Christian School of one’s choice.
