John Gort

He was preceded in death by his wife Gertrude Gort. Mr. Gort is survived by his children, Sharon Robert VanderLaan, John Mary Gort, Dave Sharon Gort; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren. Also surviving are sister Alice Kuiper; brother Hib Gort, and many other brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Thursday 11 a.m. at Cook Memorial Chapel east building, 4235 Prairie St. SW, with Pastor James Karsten of First Reformed Church of Grandville officiating. Interment Rosedale Memorial Park. The family will meet with relatives and friends Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. from the Cook Funeral Home, Grandville west building. Memorial contributions may be made to The Scholarship Fund at First Reformed Church or God's Kitchen.
