
He leaves his loving wife Barbara of 37 years; his son John David Elaine, daughter Connie John Mauk and youngest son James. He leaves his sisters Florence Swiderski, Lavina Quincy Dunlap, Susan Paul Burchardt; mother-in-law June M. Norman; sisters-in-law Sylvia Richard Gray, Mary Jim Mroz, Kathy Briel Michael Gray and brothers-in-law David Teri Gray and John Maria Norman; and many nieces and nephews.
John was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was very gifted and blessed by God. He loved to work with his hands and farm the land.
Relatives and friend may meet the family at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 - 84th St. SW, in Byron Center, on Thursday, from 2-4 and 7-8:30 p.m., followed by an 8:30 p.m. Rosary service.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11 a.m., at St. Mary’s Visitation Catholic Church, 2459 146th Ave., New Salem.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in honor of John may be made to St. Mary’s Visitation Catholic Church to help offset family expenses.
