I had the privilege of working with John back in the day - at Family Bookstores/Family Christian Stores. He was one of the nicest people I worked with at Family in my 15 years there. What a great guy. Please accept my condolences and sympathy. Yes, he's in heaven, but I'm sure he'll be missed until someday you're all up there with him, celebrating at the Wedding Feast. While we know that John is enjoying the presence of the Lord, we know that He has promised grace for those who grieve. I always respected John and remember him as he played the part of Simeon during a Christmas pageant one year. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all.

Dear Dena and Family, We were saddened to hear of John's death. Praise God we know that he is in the presence of our dear Savior. We were gone for a few days and just found out today(Tuesday). It was wonderful to know John, father to our dear Amy. His love and devotion to the Lord was evident in each of our meetings. He is an inspiration. Our prayers are with his loved ones.

Dena, you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I had the privilege of knowing John during his time at the Laurels. It was not always easy for him but he always try to put on a smile and say hello to other residents. I will always remember John sitting in his "office" in the coffee shop. He enjoyed reading his books in that corner. I will never forget him. He was such as great guy and I thank God for the opportunity of knowing him.

I worked with John at Family Christian Stores for years. What a great man he was. I've always thought about him and the kind man he was. Condolences to the family. He will truly be missed but God gave us a wonderful gift for many years.
