I was happy to have spent some time with John at the class reunion this past year and remembering old times...especially the old surf board he sold me so many years ago. It is sad to hear such news John seemed so full of life I will pray for the family.

Tasha, We were very sad to hear of the loss of your dad. We hope that your memories of the time spent together will comfort you. Your dad was always very friendly to us and we enjoyed seeing him at our class reunions. He was very faithful about attending our get togethers. He was a neat guy. John, you were a very important person in Doug's life, always and forever. He's told me and the kids the story of how you met SO MANY TIMES, I think I know it by heart. I am pleased that I got to know John as we worked together and then after that to be able to visit with he and Craig and get caught up last summer. Dear Mike,Tasha, and the Way Family, I was very saddened to hear of John's passing. He was one of those people you think will never die. I remember when John, Sandy and Tasha came out to California about 25 years ago. Mike's parents and Ginny were already out here. John wanted to surprise his Mom and Dad and everyone got a big surprise when Tasha was at the door instead of the neighbor! It was those simple things that always made John happy and smile. I'm so glad I got to meet John because he was a good example in the things he did. I never heard him say a bad word about anyone or try to blame anyone for anything. When I moved back to Calif. I was worried about Mike's health and I called John. We talked about a few things and he said he'd check on Mike. That was the last time I ever spoke to him. Just the other day Mike told me that John saved his life. That doesn't surprise me a bit. He always backed up the love for his family with actions, and not just words. It was so many years ago when I knew John, back when I was in high school. I loved him very much. He had the most beautiful smile and beautiful soul. I wish I had learned of his passing in time to pay my respects in person. 
 I have thought of him, Dan, and Mike often through the years.
