Dearest Ruth and Steve; I am so so sorry about little Jorianna. I am still so shocked over the devastating news! My heart is so broken for you. I never once thought she would leave us so early. That little stinker! What about that red dress and bow? *Steve, I'll never forget how you read to her from your Bible and then the little books we would get up there. Remember the one you barrowed from us, the one about Daddies? Well, you are a very tender and kind hearted man and she was very blessed that you were her daddy. *Ruth, I'll never forget how you nearly wore out the floor, pacing and praying! You tought me what it means to be DEVOTED. You never left her bedside except when needed. You are a tower of strength in that itty-bitty body. I'll always remember that coveted yellow UofM jacket of yours you changed from saying, "survival flight" to "survive and FIGHT" . You are an inspiration to me. *Rachel and Daniel-Jori has that new body your sister needed and she is now singing with the angels and dancing at Jesus' feet. You will see her again, but right now she is playing with little Kylee, Little Sierra and my little girl, Eliya. She is very happy to get away from all the surgeries and medicines! She doesn't hurt anymore. As one of Eliya's favorite songs goes... "I'm trading my sickness, I'm trading my pain, I'm laying them down for the joy of the LORD." That is what Jorianna is singing... Please know that you are being prayed for not only by us, but by our church also. It is a hard road you will be on and you'll do alot, ALOT of crying, but we do not grieve as those with no hope. I don't know how people can go through this without the Lord. Hold on to your faith, sometimes with a "white-knuckle" grip, but just hold on. Every new day it does get better...sometimes. You'll have your good days and then you'll have your bad. But Jesus is there right by your side all the way. Steve and Ruth - Words can not express our sympathy. I can still remember when little Jorianna arrived at Holden accross from Kellen. She put up one of the greatest fights I have ever seen. We are so sorry for your loss and we know that you will miss her greatly. Yet we are comforted by the fact that you will see her again and that she is walkinig side by side with our Lord and Savior.
