LUCCHESI - Joseph Lucchesi, aged 75, of Caledonia, left the arms of his family to join his Lord and Savior, Thursday, January 31, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife and soul mate, of 54 years, Phyllis , 8 months ago; his brother Jack, Ross and Tony Lucchesi and sister Marge Adgate. He was surrounded by family who remember him as a man of great love, and whom they dearly loved. Survived by his 5 daughters and sons-in-law Bonnie & Bill Zaskowski, Diane & Dan Campos, Sue & Doug Roseman, Jodi & Mark Brown, and Mary & Rick Alvesteffer; 17 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, along with his brother Sam Joan Lucchesi; sisters Roselyn Williams, Loretta Jim Polmanteer, and Mary Vanderhyde; his mother-in-law Nellie Fairbrother; and many nieces and nephews. Joe loved people; he had a heart of generosity and compassion. He loved God, served others, accepted people from all walks of life, and tried to help anyone who needed a hand… just as Christ would do. He enjoyed a great life, owned his own business, traveled to many places, and had a special relationship with his grown children. He was pampered by his daughters, and loved by their husbands, the sons he never had. His home was always open, and he especially loved his grandchildren stopping by to play a game of cribbage or Rummy-Cube. Even through his struggles with Dementia he was kind and made us all laugh. He loved "big" and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His journey here has ended; we were blessed to have him grace our lives and are mindful that we will see him again. The family would like to say a special thank you to Annette Hardy and the wonderful staff at Georgetown & Cambridge Manor for their love and care for Joe and his family.
