Joyce Arlene Seif

Joyce Arlene Seif (Buist), age 91, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, February 25, 2020. She was preceded in death by her dear and loving husband of 66 years, John Seif; parents John and Mattie Buist; sons-in-law Bob Bonnema and Bob Blacquiere; grandchildren Molly Mulder, and Ted and Joe Newhof; and brothers Sam and Jay Buist.

She will be lovingly missed by her 10 children Marcia and Clare Harkema, Mary and Ron Kamminga, Jane Blacquiere, Bill and Penny Seif, Kathy and Dave Burgess, Beth and Pete Mulder, Sue and Craig Newhof, Steve Seif, Joe and Alice Seif, and Ken and Cindy Seif; 35 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren (four more to be born soon); sister, Marge VandenBerg; brother, Jack and Marge Buist; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

More than anything else, Joyce loved her family. She was dedicated to her Lord and her life was an example for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She made all holidays and birthdays extra special. Her gift of hospitality was enjoyed by many.

The family would like to thank the staff and residents at American House for their care and for loving Joyce as part of their family.

Visitation will be held from 5-8PM on Friday, February 28, 2020 at Friendship Christian Reformed Church, 190 - 100th Street SE, Byron Center, MI. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Friendship Christian Reformed Church. Interment will be at Dutton Cemetery.

In honor of Joyce and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Dutton Christian School or South Christian High School.
