friends after a brief battle with dementia on January 31, 2021.
Judy was born on May 2, 1941 in San Diego, California to the late George and Betty Jeanne (Rigley) Widmaier. In 1961, she married Fred Kenneth Clement and together they raised three children Teri, David, Steve, and sadly lost their son, Scott, just after birth. Judy was a champion for all children, serving as a Campfire Girls leader, school bus driver, and camp nurse. She enjoyed sailing, reading, and spending time with her beloved schnauzers, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her generosity extended beyond her family to anyone in need, whether coffee and kindness, a meal, or place to live. Her love was infinite and unconditional. Always referred to as “wonderful, marvelous, and dear,” she was warm, welcoming, and made everyone who met her feel special and loved.
Judy was a source of wisdom and security; a combination of benevolence and playfulness, peace and forgiveness, always lit from within with a wide smile, hearty laugh, and sparkle in her eye. The love she shared with her husband Kenny was revered and unmatched, and together they provided a legacy of love for generations to come.
After years living in Plymouth, MI, they retired to live on “Easy Street” in Sebastian,
Florida where they were members of the First Presbyterian Church.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Kenneth Clement and son, Scott Kenneth Clement. She is survived by her daughter, Teri (Kevin) Campbell of Manchester, MI, son, David Clement of Brooksville, FL, and son, Steve (Deb Philbin) Freppon of Lewiston, MI; grandchildren Heather (Aaron) LaLonde, Kaitlyn (Dustin) Kelley, Taylor Batson, Kacy Campbell, Nicholas Freppon, Trevor Harner; great-grandchildren Aiden, Carter, Harper, Wyatt, and Lily; sister Sally (Dow) Swope of Williamsburg, MI and brother George (Jackie) Widmaier of Elk Rapids, MI.
Judy will rest in peace with her husband at Green Turtle Cay, Abaco, Bahamas, where they spent many years sailing, snorkeling, and walking the beaches hand in hand. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, PO Box 781689, Sebastian, Florida, 32978.
A special thank you to daughter at heart, Yvonne LaChance for her love through the years and care at rehab. Love and gratitude to her newfound Reflections family at Sunset Manor and Spectrum Hospice for their exceptional care and kindness; and the many prayers from family and friends.
Her family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcaresgrandville.com.
