Laura Alofs

Born December 10, 1956, Laura Alofs ran into the arms of her Heavenly Father February 15, 2022. Laura is preceded in death by her son, Matthew and her grandson, Cohen. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Gary Alofs; and their children Mandi (Daran) Deemter, Heather (Jon) O’Neil, Jennifer (Brett) Jackson, Lacy (Nathan) Kelly, and Jamie Carter. She was known as “Odie” to her grandchildren Remi Jo Kelly, Carter, Natalee and Beckett Deemter, Hayleigh and Layla O’Neil, Tristan Bestwick and Madeline Jackson, whom she loved so much and was so proud of. She will be deeply missed by them and her dear friends from the Godfrey Lee ECC. Laura loved the beach, traveling with her husband and family, and spending time in the kitchen. Her favorite scripture verse was Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

A Celebration of Laura’s Life will commence 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Faith Community Christian Reformed Church, 5250 Byron Center Ave. SW, Wyoming, MI 49509. Visitation with relatives and friends will precede the service from 9:30-11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests consideration of donation to Gift of Life Michigan.
