Lavina Van Goor Van Goor Laninga

LANINGA - Mrs. Lavina Van Goor Laninga, age 94 of Byron Center, went home to be with her Lord Friday, September 3, 1999. She was preceded in death by her husband James N. Laninga; three sisters, Delia Van Houten, Jennie Laninga, and Katherine Van Goor. Surviving are her children, Carolyn and Dr. Gerald Rietberg, Ruth and Sherwin Kamps, Gordon and Marilyn Laninga; nine grandchildren, Dale and Sharon Rietberg, Dean and Jayne Rietberg, Darryl Rietberg, Bruce and Glenda Peters, Rev. A. J. and Sandie Coffman, Steve and Kathy VanderLaan, Ron and Valerie Snoeyink, Jon and Vonda De Kleine, Jon and Vicky Vanden Heuvel; 21 great grandchildren; two brothers, Henry and Angie Van Goor, Rufus and Greta Van Goor; one sister Della and Marvin Schuitman; two sisters-in-law, Johanna Hoogeveen, Frances Hooyer; special care giver of many years Marcia Broersma; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Tuesday 11 a.m. from Byron Center First Christian Reformed Church with Pastors Thomas K. Groelsema and A. J. Coffman officiating. Interment Winchester Cemetery. The family will meet relatives and friends Monday 7 to 9 p.m. from the Byron Center Chapel of the Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St. Memorial contributions may be left to Christian Reformed World Relief Committee.
