Lois Arlene Mohr Hall-Wolfert, age 88, passed from time into eternity on July 9, 2021. She was born on December 31, 1932 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, at home, to David and Alice Roberts Mohr. She had two older sisters and a younger brother. Each year the world celebrated her birthday on New Year’s Eve!

She was married for forty years to her Ottawa Hills High School sweetheart, Charles (Chuck) Hall, until his death in 1993. Together they served faithfully in many ways at Calvary Church, Grand Rapids and taught their children, early on, to love and serve the Lord. God blessed them with two children and eight grandchildren.

Lois served for over thirty-five years as an elementary school secretary in Jenison before marrying Peter (Perk) Wolfert. Together they traveled extensively and enjoyed many adventures for over fourteen years until his death in 2015. She enjoyed her years as part of the Wolfert family. Often she would recall God’s many blessings to her through two wonderful husbands.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Ruth Mohr, Marilyn (Herb) Borst, D. Dale Mohr and sister-in-law, Beverly (Ray) Brown. She is survived by her husband's twin, Edward (Gerry) Hall of Cleveland, Ohio; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Mohr; as well as two children Cynthie (Jeffrey) Haag of Wheaton, Illinois and Steven (Judy) Hall of Jenison; eight grandchildren Emily (Jeff) Haag Wencel, Charles (Lindsay) Hall, Ruslan Haag, Amber (Logan) Haag Halley, Chelsey Hall, Autumn (Andy) Haag Masselink, Alison (Justin) Hall Corwin, and Andrew Hall; eleven great-grandchildren; and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and -nephews.

She is remembered as a loving mom, Nana, and Great Nana and will be missed on this earth by the many who loved her as she enjoys that great forever reunion in eternity.

Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2021 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418, with visitation from 3-4 p.m. prior to service. In honor of Lois, and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Samaritan's Purse or Calvary Church. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcaresgrandville.com.

I first met Lois as she welcomed me to Pinewood when I was a substitute teacher.
She was a gracious lovely lady. It was always a treat to run into her here and there in Jenison. I will miss her.

She always had a smile and always had the time to hear how my kids and o were doing. One of the most caring people I ever met. She was the perfect person for a school secretary. Will miss her but will meet her in heaven. Prayers to the family

Lois was a very special woman that I was blessed to have as a friend for forty years. We worked together at Pinewood Schools and spent our leisure time going to concerts, shopping and having lunch.
Lois loved her family and her God. She will be missed but never forgotten.

Dear Cindy/Jeff, Steve/Judy and Family,
On behalf of the entire Les and Marleen Cook Family, we wanted to join with the many others who are sending deepest sympathies to each of you during this time of loss. "Aunt Lois" always wore a big smile and her laughter was contagious. She was a very special lady to us and your folks were SO much fun to be around! We are sending our love and hugs to you today and be assured of our prayers during the difficult days to come. The "Home Builders" gang from Calvary Church is certainly growing larger in Heaven with each passing year....

I have such fond memories of Lois, and never felt anything but welcomed in her home. She and Chuck had nicknames for me, let me hang out there a lot, fed me--they made all of us guys feel at home there. Jenison will not feel the same now when I drive through it.

Cindy and Steve and families, I'm so sorry for your loss. Your mom was a sweet lady with the best big smile to great everyone. My mom and Dad share some great memories from Gulf shores when her and Peter would winter there. They had such fun with them. She was a wonderful example of a Godly woman and so proud of all of you.
