Lyle E. Johnson

JOHNSON - Lyle E. Johnson, age 84 of Jenison, went to be with his Lord Monday, October 23, 2000. He was preceded in death two years to the date by his wife Ruth. Mr. Johnson was the founder of Johnson Carpet. He is survived by his children, Walter Johnson of California, Karen Ken Gernaat of Hudsonville, Ardith Fred Krantz of Baldwin, Tom Lanette Johnson of Hudsonville, Jerry Mary Lee Johnson of Kentwood, Scott Linda Johnson of Grandville; 15 grandchildren, 18 great- grandchildren; one brother Leigh Jean Johnson of Arizona; and several brothers and sisters-in-law. Funeral service will be held Thursday 11 a.m. at Olivet Reformed Church, 3085 Wallace, Grandville. Interment Georgetown Cemetery. The family will meet relatives and friends Tuesday 7 to 9 and Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Association of West Michigan.
