

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Kenneth Lane; her parents, George and Maude Johnson; and her sisters, Ruth Anderson and Dorothy Stanlake.
Marcia will be lovingly remembered and missed by her children, Kendra and Jim Simon, Susan and Gene Robinson, Bill and Mary Lane; her grandchildren, Jason and Renee Robinson, Branden Lane, Shana and Brian Holda, Dana and Matt Roefer; and her great-grandchildren, Liliana, Talia, and Hadasah Holda, Simon and Lucas Roefer, Ella Robinson; and her dear nieces and nephews.
Marcia was a teacher in Buchanan, Charlotte, Wyoming and Kelloggsville Public School Systems. She was a Silver Life Master Bridge player. Marcia was a big Tigers and Michigan State University sports fan. For many years, she served on the guild at Blodgett Hospital. Marcia was very gifted at cooking and baking, and had a heart for hospitality; friends and family share many fond memories of gathering around her table for delicious meals.
A time for relatives and friends to visit with Marcia’s family will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2017, at Cook Funeral Home in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St., S.W. (West building). A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 29, at Hudsonville Congregational United Church of Christ, 4950 32nd Avenue, with Rev. Dan Furman officiating. Interment will be at Saranac Cemetery.
In honor of Marcia, contributions may be made to Hudsonville Congregational United Church of Christ.
