Marian Bekkering

Marian Jean Bekkering, age 84, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 11, 2021. Marian was preceded in death by her parents Gerald and Stena Gort; sister, Grace Gort; brother and sister-in-law Robert (Rose) Gort; brothers-in-law Don Bekkering and Al Bekkering; son and daughter-in-law Ronald (Kathy) Bekkering; daughter-in-law, Deborah Bekkering; and granddaughter, Hope Bekkering. She will be remembered by her husband of 64 years, Lloyd Bekkering; children Kenneth (Nancy) Bekkering, Vern Bekkering, Mark (Lori) Bekkering, and Steve (Anna) Bekkering; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie (Bill) Anthony; sisters-in-law Donna Bekkering and Gerri Bekkering; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Marian loved her family - especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, and made quilts and blankets for them.
A Celebration of Marian’s Life will take place 2 p.m. on Monday, July 19, 2021 at Fellowship Reformed Church, 6610 36th Street, Hudsonville, MI 49426. Visitation with relatives and friends will take place the hour prior to service. Interment will be at Georgetown Cemetery. In honor of Marian and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Youth Ministry at Fellowship Reformed Church.
