Marian L. Fein

Fein (Nickels) Marian Louise Marian L. Fein passed away peacefully at Allegan Medical Care Facility on January 13, 2015, at the age of 95. Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, shortly after celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in 1989. She was also preceded in death by her son Don and son-in-law Dave Fearnow. She will be remembered with love and sadly missed by her children Jerry (Fran) Fein, Jim (Janet) Fein, Virginia (George) Black, Judy Fein, Kathleen Fearnow, Dennis (Lois) Fein, Ann (Bob) Miller, Mike (Sue) Fein, Margie (Gary) Weick, Pat (Kim) Fein, 36 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. She will be reunited with her brother Herman Nickles and her sisters Katherine Homrich, Margaret Lenhart and Cecelia Pahl. She is survived by her brother Lawrence Nickels.

Marian's greatest loves were her faith and her family. In her house all were welcomed warmly and fed well. She has given us many examples of her kindness and grace. Life on the farm meant cooking, cleaning, washing, sewing, gardening and canning for 10 children, but she did it all because it was for her family. She was never too busy for fun though, she loved to play cards with friends and family. Her grandchildren will be ever thankful for the cousin sleepovers, playing cards and candy.

The family would like to thank all her wonderful caregivers at Allegan Medical Care Facility. You are the best. She was a longtime member of St. Mary's Visitation Parish 2459 146th Ave. Byron Center, MI. Her mass of Christian burial will be held there on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11 a.m.. Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Chuck Fischer. A visitation will be held at Cook Funeral Home Byron Center on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. with a rosary recited at 3:30 p.m. Also, visitation will take place at the church one hour before the service. Please make any donations to the St. Mary's Visitation School.
