Marian June Reminga-Spaanstra

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Eugene Reminga and James Reminga, Sr.; her parents, Siebrant and Marie VanderWerf; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray Marge VanderWerf, and Ang Art Meurs.

She is survived by her husband Robert Spaanstra; children, Marlene Larry Fry, Jim Kathie Reminga, and Jan Ed Gallagher; stepchildren, Marcia Jim Deur, Jim Sue Spaanstra, Bruce Bonnie Spaanstra; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother Leon Gert VanderWerf; brothers and sisters-in-law, Violet Dekker, Chuck Jeanne Reminga, Jo Bultema, Helen Neil Van Wylen, Eleanore Peters, and Henry Timmer.

June will always be remembered for her kind concern for others, her love of music, and her abounding zest for life. June was the center of her family and loved all her children unconditionally. June's lasting gift to her family was her unfailing faith in her Lord. Even as she faced death, she continued to acknowledge her deep love for God and his unfailing love for her. 'And she shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.'

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Beverly Reformed Church 2141 Porter St. SW, Wyoming with Rev. Eildert Zwart officiating.

The family will meet with relatives and friends 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Cook Funeral Home, Grandville - west building.

Memorial contributions may be made to Beverly Reformed Phase 4 Building Fund.
