She was reunited in Heaven with her devoted husband of 48 years, Kenneth; her mother, Ruth Dykman; and her sister, Colleen Eldred. Marilyn will be lovingly remembered by family and friends.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Marilyn was active in the Grandville Historical Society because she valued preserving history, especially family history, which fueled her research in genealogy. She was also active in GROWW.org, an online grief recovery organization for bereaved people.
Cherishing her memory are her loving children, Beth and Dave Meinke, Ken and Karin DeVries; grandchildren, Anthony and Nicholas Vitali, Josh and Melissa Meinke, Erika and Matthew DeVries; brothers, Don Dawn Dykman, Ron Kathy Dykman; sister, Jeri Randy Baird; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2005, at 3 p.m. from the Cook Memorial Chapel East building, 4235 Prairie St. SW in Grandville, with Deacon Peter from St. Pius X officiating. Visitation for relatives and friends who wish to meet with Marilyn's family will begin at 1 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to GROWW.org or the American Heart Association. Marilyn's family welcomes your personal entries in their Memory Book at www.cookfuneralhome.com.
