She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Fred Nilson; their children, Fred and Oly Nilson, Kathy and Rick Holler, Renee and Gary Scholten, Deb and Rick Thornton, Jane and Tom Proulx, John Nilson and Don Nilson; sisters, Anita and John Bennink, Aretha and Harold Orndorff and Ruth Bosworth; brothers, Laverne Gummere, Merlin Gummere, Babe and Bonnie Gummere; grandchildren, Teresa Monroe, Lisa Willner, Sarah Nilson, Mike and Tom Houghton, Shelley Wierenga, Kaylee Holler, Rick and Matt Scholten, Angie Monroe, Jenny and Melanie Thornton, Sara, Amy and Tommy Proulx; great grandchildren, Nick and Madison Monroe, Samantha and Tommy Houghton, Jr., Iris, Morgan, Mason and Matt Scholten, Jr.; as well as aunts, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Cook Funeral Home east building, 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends Tuesday 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home west building.
