Mary Helen Kuyt

Mary Helen Kuyt, age 90, of Coopersville, entered into the presence of her Lord on January 11, 2016. She was born in 1925, grew up in Muncie, Indiana, and later moved to Grand Rapids with her husband, Jack. In 1964, they responded to the Gospel message and accepted Jesus Christ as Savior. Helen became an avid Bible student, teacher and church worker. Jack preceded her in death in 2007.

She is survived by her children Tim and Julie Kuyt, of Spring Lake; Tom and Sherry Kuyt, of Hudsonville; Henry and Mary Kuyt, of Belmont; and Paul and Randi Kuyt, of Muskegon. Her grandchildren are Todd Kuyt, Brett (Patricia) Kuyt, Anne (Brian) Nelson, Jodi (Preston) Gee, Joanne (Tim) Morris, Eileen (Sam) King, Jonathan (Jen) Kuyt, Loraine (Wes) Hitt, Jason (Rebecca) Kuyt, Alisa Kuyt and fiancée Mike Grassmid, Jennifer Kuyt, Lindsey (Stephen) Burkey, Chad (Marlise) DeShane, Nathan Kuyt and fiancée Katelyn Craig, Jacob Kuyt and Elizabeth (Daniel) Bollweg. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Ty, Jackie, Ryan, Connor, Lexi, Max, Laney, Jackson, Javen, Brooke, Zoey, Faith, Charlie, Alexandria, Taylor, Hailey, Andre, Aidan, David, Kristi, Samuel, Caleb, Kolton, Alexis, Juliette, Teaghan, and Taryn; and one great-great-granddaughter, Lily.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15 at Jenison Bible Church, 6360 14th Ave. in Hudsonville, with visitation preceding the service beginning at 9:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Jenison Bible Church.

Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery in Grand Rapids, with arrangements by Cook Funeral Home of Grandville.
