 I am deeply sorry for your loss. Mick was a wonderful lady. I worked with her at Rogers Dept. Store for many years. She joined our group of ladies at Christmas time for years after the Rogers days. I am honored to have known her. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

To Mick's family, Your Mom & Grandma was a very special lady to me. She helped me through a personal crisis when I worked with her in ER at Grand Rapids Osteopathic Hospital. She planted many seeds in my life about her God who she said loved me. She read to me out of the Psalms when I was in her home. She shared personal things with me about her life and how God helped her. A few years later 1979 I personally embraced Christ and trusted him with my life and as my Savior. I have never turned back and have served on the mission field with my husband Brian since 1999. Mick played a wonderful part in what my life is about and I will be forever grateful. Mick also shared with me that her pain and suffering was okay because she knew God was helping her to deal with it. She was so brave and yet knew where her real strength came from. I pray God will strengthen you all during your huge loss in the same way he kept Mickie strong. In Christ, Jean Sherwood

Dear Northouse Family:
 What wonderful memories I have always had and will continue to cherish when I think of 'Mrs. Northouse'. Growing up with you all on Melody Lane....she was my favorite neighborhood mom. She introduced me to such exotic delicacies as ice water stored in the refrigerator! and white chocolate almond bark! and cupcakes for an after school snack for no celebratory reason or holiday! The list could go on. It was always wonderful to happen upon her and your dad at Russ's or Meijer ~ such a gracious lady who never forgot one of the Jenison kids that she helped to watch over back in the day. Blest be the tie that binds.... May it bring you all comfort to know that you are in the thoughts & prayers of many friends.
