Maxine Joyce VanderMarkt (VanderMolen), age 90, went to be with her Lord on Monday, December 16, 2019. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William J. Brinks; son, William Brinks Jr.; step-daughter, Linda VanderMarkt; parents Ahna and Hattie VanderMolen; siblings Dorothy Becker, Johanna Vruggink, Carol Zandstra, Harriot DeJong and Henry VanderMolen.
She will be lovingly missed by her husband of seven years, Richard VanderMarkt; children David (Christie) Brinks, Susan (Doug) LaLone; step-daughter, Mary (Tim) Stevens; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, December 20, 2019 with an hour of visitation prior to the service at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. Pastor Steven Hull will be officiating. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
In honor of Maxine and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
