Nathan Robert Carpenter

CARPENTER – Nathan Robert Carpenter, age 73 of Jenison, went to be with his Lord, Sunday, November 22, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan and Lila Carpenter. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Betty (Vandenberg); his sons Mark Nathan (Suzanne Timmer MD.) Carpenter of Byron Center, Brad Carpenter of Byron Center and Michael (Kristin) Carpenter of Grayslake, IL; grandchildren Emily Anne and Kyle Nathan Carpenter; sisters Jacqueline (Hank) Medlin Beagle of Cadillac and Judy Osterbaan of Grandville.

Nathan was raised on a farm in Ellsworth, MI. He attended Northwestern in Traverse City and worked in the Parts Sales at Dermody Truck Sales for 45 years. A quiet man in nature Nathan was a loving husband, father and grandfather who adored his grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Rosewood Reformed Church with Pastor Howard Moths officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, 1889 Baldwin, Jenison, Michigan and Saturday one hour prior to services at church.
