Nellie Brooks Drew

Nellie had been a member of Burton Baptist Church for over 45 years.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Brooks and Wilson Drew; daughter Barbara Yeggie; grandsons, Kenny Prindle and Chris and Rick Homrich and her sisters Ethel Whitten and Jessie Wepkin.

Surviving are her children, Joyce Homrich, Don Ruthann Brooks and Bill Virginia Brooks; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-nine great grandchildren and six great, great grandchildren; sister and brothers, Marge Yanarous of NY, Phillip Isabella Tobin of Kentwood and Frank Beverly Tobin of Maple City and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 27th at the Cook Memorial Chapel east building 4235 Prairie SW in Grandville, with Rev. Philip Fishman officiating.

Interment in Grandville Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may meet her family on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home west building in Grandville.

Contributions in memory of Nellie may be made to her church, Burton Baptist, 2010 Plymouth Ave. SE in Grand Rapids.
