I remember Mr and Mrs Kamp from all the years I attended the same church as they did..They were such a handsome couple. They were always friendly and kind to me..They were friends of my parents..so many fond memories. Special thoughts and love are for Susan.

I got to know Norma at Cambrige Manor where my dad, Jake Jeltema, is also a resident. They had a room across from each other on the North side and near each other on the dementia side. You have my sympathy. What a blessing for her to be in Heaven now and to be whole again.

Dear Sue, Sandy, Helen and Russ,
 Your mother, or sister, and I were friends in grade school at Burton. We used to walk each other home from school, and then walk halfway back together again, and when we got home we'd be on the phone talking. I loved her throaty laugh, and she was always a beautiful girl who wanted to be thinner. I thought she always looked her best when she was a girl. We shared the beach at Holland and met the Slagh brothers there, which was exciting for both of us. She got sunburned one week when we were there with a group Teddy Hall was one and she let is peel her skin kids! We giggled through 2 years of shorthand--we had the only two boys in class sitting in front of us Diore and Carl, and it was a wonder our teacher, Mr. Zinn, survived us. Maybe is was smiling inside. Then the war interferred, but afterwards, we connected again and I'll never forget how surprised boy Mike was to see bowls of candy and nuts right out in the open when we were visiting at your house. Your mom was all we were meant to be--homemaker, wife, mother, cook. She and your Dad were happy and enjoyed their life, but also had fun. We all loved visits to your cottage. I carried rocks back from distant places and Larry incorporated them into the fireplace there. I can still see you all behind the boat, either skiing or boarding. Bill and I did visit her after your Dad was gone. But one year she wasn't on Byron Center Road anymore. We always wrote on Christmas cards and birthday cards about our lives. I asked her always to call and about two years ago she did, but I didn't know her phone number so couldn't get back to her. We were all lucky to have known her. Remember that and heal.

Sue and sandy, my cousins
 I am so sorry for your loss right now - Aunt Norma brings many, many memories. Your little yellow house brings thoughts of us playing together there as kids. I always liked the knotty pine - EVERYWHERE - Everything was always so neat and in it's place. Aunt Norma usually had knitting or some crafty project she was working on. 
 It is good to hear from others that we know on this memory book. makes me feel close to family. I thank God for you and your family -even though we have not seen much of each other we will always be cousins. I am sorry we could not be there at the memorial service. God is going to get you through this, keep hanging on to Him.
