Patricia Ann Norton

Patricia Ann Norton, age 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Verle Schantz, and sister and brother-in-law Mary Lou and Leon Chapman. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years, James Norton II; children James P. (Tammy) Norton, Barbara (Duane) Woltjer, John (Dani) Norton; grandchildren Jacob (Megan) Woltjer, James R. (Kailee) Norton, Stephanie (Josh) Ezinga; great-grandchildren Asher Norton, Jordan Woltjer, and baby boy Ezinga due April 2026; brothers Kenneth (Faye) Schantz, Ronald (Norma) Schantz; sisters Louanne Oaks, Alice (Carl Schwander); and many nieces and nephews.

Patricia loved spending time with her family, including her dog and cat. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, Bible studies, and family genealogy until essential tremors and dementia made it difficult to continue.

Visitation with friends and relatives will take place from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. A celebration of Patricia’s life will commence 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), followed by a luncheon and time to share good memories.

In honor of Patricia and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salvation Army. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Cortland Wyoming Memory Care and Optimal Care Hospice for showing such loving care for Patricia.
