Dear Van Dam Family, I remember your mom as a kind and patient woman who could hold her own with Augie - they used to come visit my mom and dad and they had a lot of fun together. I also want to say what a wonderful friend Augie was when my dad was dying. He would take my dad out to lunch or on the boat, and when my dad was too ill to go anywhere, Augie would just sit by his bed and talk with him. Your mom truly was a very special lady. One of our fond memories was at the softball tournaments when Pearl would bring the Sloppy Joes out and they would be nice and warm because she would put a HOT rock in the bottom of the crock pot. She was a great lady. Our deepest sympathy to you all. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

To the entire family of Pearl....Wow, we go waaay back don't we? I have very fond memories of Pearl, sweet and loving and caring. When I was a kid, and neighbor....I thought she was "super mom"..with all those kids! A heart of gold is what she had. I remember Pearl for being - unselfish, caring, warm & loving, gentle, patient, honest, and virtuous. Her love for others had no limits. I am blessed to have known her.

I remeber my Aunt Pearl as always having a smile on her face even when she was trying to be stern. In this life there were not enough hours that I was able to spend with her but I was always able to call and she would give me all the time that I needed to confide in her regardless of the time of day. She will be sadly missed by many of us who she extended a warm and loving hand to and always had a hug for. To all of my cousins who I have not seen in a long time, my prayers will be with you in your time of loss. Love to all of you, your cousin, Ketina
