Peter Slagter

SLAGTER - Mr. Peter Slagter, age 87, went to be with his Lord, Tuesday, March 13, 2007. Peter was a long time member of Zion Reformed Church, and had retired from Kindel Furniture Company after 45 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Rose Slagter, and his son, James Peter Slagter. He will be deeply missed by his children, Terry Eileen Slagter, Martina Slagter, Gordon Slagter, and Gloria Art VandenBosch; grandchildren, Marguerite Dave Reyelts, Scott Barb Slagter, Chad Ahn Slagter, Carrie Slagter, Jimmy Slagter, Ricky Slagter, Marty Slagter, Michelle Slagter, Josh Sabrina Slagter, Wesley Slagter, Kelly Slagter and Stacie Vanden Bosch; his great grandchildren; brother and sisters, Martin Slagter, Helen Paul Graham, and Alice Meringa, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. at Zion Reformed Church, 4557 36th St. SW, with Rev. Greg Brower officiating. Interment service will be at Georgetown Township Cemetery.

Relative and friends may meet Peter’s family Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home west building, 4235 Prairie SW. Those unable to attend the visitation or funeral service may sign the family’s Memory Book at www.cookfuneralservices.com.

Contributions in memory of Peter may be made to the American Cancer Society.
