He was preceded in death by his son Sijtze.

Surviving are his wife Martje; his children, Trena Nauta of Grand Rapids, John Sherly Nauta of Hudsonville, Anna Jim Johnson of Jenison, Harvey Nauta of Grand Rapids; daughter-in-law Kathy Nauta of Jenison; nine grandchildren; his brother Albert of Holland; his sister Ellen John Keur of Grand Rapids; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dika Nauta of S. Holland, IL, Rindert Visscher, Harm and Rommy van der Brug, Dina de Boer all of the Netherlands.

Private funeral services will be held Saturday.

Interment will be in Georgetown Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Cook Funeral Home, Grandville 4235 Prairie St. SW - west building.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Hospice or the Spectrum Heart Center.

The family expresses a special thank you to Dr. Richard McNamara and Dr. Kyle Rasikus and staffs.
