Avis de décès
10 octobre 1955 – 23 novembre 2021
Rick Lee Stonehouse, age 66, was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus Tuesday, November 23, 2021, where he heard the words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” We are so grateful for the steady, loving presence our husband, dad, and Papa Ricki Poo had in our lives. His love for his family shone through every aspect of his life from his selflessness, intentionality, and gentle, steady presence.
Rick will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his beloved, doting wife of 42 years, Pam Stonehouse; children Justin Stonehouse, Mandi (Dayn) Arnold, Taylor (Alisha) Stonehouse, Jordan (Marcia) Stonehouse, Megan (Sam) VandenToorn, Turner (Angela) Stonehouse, and Lisa Stonehouse. He will also be missed by 18 precious grandchildren Elaina, Emma, Ellerie, and Gabriel Stonehouse; Wylder, Indis, and Jovie Arnold; Leland, Calvin, and Beckem Stonehouse; Lincoln and Bridgett Stonehouse; Adalie, Availa, and Barrett VandenToorn; and Thatcher, Lockewood, and Bo Stonehouse. Rick is also survived by his siblings Diane Bierema and Don (Vicki) Stonehouse. As well as his father-in-law, Kenneth Huttema; in-laws Kathy Hessel, Mike Huttema, Nancy Hoffman, and Todd (Rebecca) Huttema; and many nieces and nephews.
Rick had a gentle, humble, and deeply kind spirit. He was steadfast, faithful, and hard-working. He adored Pam, his children, and grandchildren. He would quietly give his time, listening ear, and wise, sage advice. His eyes held a twinkle and he loved sharing a joke. All you had to do if you needed something was ask Dad or Papa and his incredible thrifting skills would find us whatever we needed. He was generous with all he had, especially with his time caring for and meeting the needs of his family and his friends. Rick was an artist, dreaming and designing intricate details of a project, choosing the perfect colors and textures and had the steadiest hand with a paint brush. He had an eye for beauty and loved all of the elements that go into creating a masterpiece. Rick was also a thoughtful wordsmith. A random text or intentionally crafted birthday message were sure to make one feel seen, known, and loved. He was a teddy bear of a papa and a favorite person in his precious grandchildrens' lives.
For the past 10 years, Rick has taken much pride and enjoyment in his work for Van Go Delivery.
Our husband, dad, and papa will be greatly missed, but we grieve with hope and rejoice knowing that he is with Jesus and we will one day be reunited with him in our forever home.
