He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Shirley Abbott Sr.; sister Jody Marzean and brother-in-law John Marzean.
He will be remembered by his children Rosemarie Abbott, Carolann Abbott; three grandchildren; sister Leeann (Shawn) Hammond and a nephew.
Visitation with the family will be held from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016 with a small Celebration of Life Ceremony immediately following at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 - 84th Street, S.W., Byron Center, MI. Interment will be at Rosedale Memorial Gardens.
In honor of Robert and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Whispering Woods Hospice Care.
